Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit team of hospitalists at Franciscan St James Health Olympia Fields Campus
• We are seeking a Hospitalist APP who can join our team, serving our patients within our observation unit.
• Our hospital serves patients within our 214-bed facility, and while a sizable portion of our patients are geriatric, we see a wide variety of diagnoses in adults of all ages.

Qualifications:

• NP or PA certification is required.
• The ideal candidate has experience working as a hospitalist or within an observation unit as a provider.
• Inpatient NP experience coupled with outpatient experience is a huge plus.

Schedule:

• This position is 7 on/7 off, 7 am-7 pm with block schedules starting every Tuesday and ending Monday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Round on patients within the 18-bed Observation Unit to include ordering appropriate tests, requesting consultations, and collaborating with the hospital care team to discharge patients within the needed timeframe appropriately.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner. Communicate with all stakeholders effectively and efficiently.
